Beginner Class 10" Framed Mirror
In this class you will learn the basic fundamentals of mosaic while making a beautiful mirror frame. This all inclusive lesson will give you an opportunity to learn cutting techniques, tesserae placement and explore color and design theories. There will be plenty of handouts for you to take home for future reference.
By the end of this hour course you will have completed your own mosaic masterpiece suitable for hanging. Makes a great gift if you can bear to part with it!It should take 4 to 4.5 hours to complete.

Intermediate Class: 8 Inch Wall Hanging or Trivet
In this course students will make a trivet or wall hanging following a design. You will learn how to transfer an image and copy the design in glass, This class will have an emphasis on artistic composition and shading using glass We will explore complex cutting and placement. Some prior mosaic experience or completion of the beginner’s class is recommended. You will have 2 designs to choose from.
This class usually takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete.

Learn to tackle the complex and challenging fete of 3-D mosaic by making an 8” round garden ball. In this class you will compose a pattern of your own design to cover an acrylic sphere with glass. You will have access to our vast array of interesting and colorful glass to fulfill your imaginative design. Cutting and placement is emphasized in this class. We will spend quite a bit of time on grouting on the last day. It is suggested that you bring some old clothes to change into.
This class will take approximately 8 hours

In this class you will decorate an 8” birdhouse starting with the roof and ending with a fabulous dangly acrylic fringe on the bottom and hand beaded hanger. You will learn to use a mixture of glass, ceramic, broken china and fun found objects. Students will have access to our treasure trove of funky goodies to make your house your own bodacious creation. The emphasis is on color theory, texture, composition and fun! During this course you will learn to use a variety of adhesives to finish your design with durability in mind. This class is so much fun that you won’t even notice that you are learning all of the basics that you need to start mosaicing on your own. You will be grouting on the last day so bring some old clothes.
This class will take about 9 or 10 hours

Because of the complex nature of this piece some mosaic experience is recommended but not necessary if you are willing to work hard. You will learn to mosaic over an 8” Styrofoam skull using a myriad of different glasses and found objects. You will start by altering the substrate to the proper DOD shape and learn how to shape the teeth and cover the skull with some stunning Day of the Dead motifs. You will have access to a variety of metal skulls, porcelain roses, jewelry crosses and other costly found objects pertaining to the subject. You will be grouting the piece and layering DOD objects on top of that. You will learn the sequence of building your calavera through each step. This class is very challenging but with a little patience you will have a unique art piece that you will treasure forever.

Weekends during the day or Week nights after 6PM
$15 per hour including materials and use of my equipment-more than 3 students *$12 per hour*slightly more if ultra expensive materials are required
Let me know what you want to learn and I will teach you one on one. I have storage space here at the studio for my student’s projects. This is a nice way to learn at your own pace. If you have a special project in mind such as a small tabletop or lamp just bring it in with you. If you have a special request such as Christmas gifts we will find the proper substrates for you and keep them here while you work on them. You are not obligated to a timeslot just make arrangements to come in when you have time .I usually need about 24 hours in advance notice, I will work with your schedule.
