Mary Clark-Camargo started mosaicing about 20 years ago.

By 2005 she had appeared on several shows on HGTV, DIY Network and The Fine Living Channel demonstrating her mosaic techniques.

She also started doing commissioned pet portraits under the name of Petraits by Mary.

She did public art projects for the city of Pasadena and Eagle Rock.

She opened her first studio in Eagle Rock in January 2009 at 4532 1/2 Eagle Rock Blvd adjoining the iconic Cactus Gallery.

By 2010 she had shown her work at many well-known art galleries and the Autry Museum in Los Angeles. 

She became well known for her large Day of the Dead Calaveras and was a perennial favorite at Dia Del Los Muertos festivals and events.

Her skulls are very popular and sought out by art collectors.

Not one to rest on her laurels Mary also kept busy doing custom designs for TV shows and architects.

She has received many certificates of appreciation from the city of Los Angeles for her community involvement and artistic enhancements to the area.

In May of 2011 she moved into a studio at 1754 Colorado Bvd also in Eagle rock where she began teaching mosaic classes as well as continuing with her fine art, public art and commissions. 

As of Jan 2023 New Stone Age Mosaic Studio has moved to Glendale where Mary has resumed teaching mosaic classes in the greater Los Angeles area and creating new art
